Bio

Since receiving his first camera at the age of thirteen, Dvir Barkay has been relentlessly documenting his lifelong passion for wildlife, plant life, and nature as a whole. This passion has taken him across the world, though he remains committed to showcasing the often overlooked areas of America's natural environment. In his work, he seeks to erode the boundary between fine art nature photography and a more natural documentary style, highlighting the artistic inspiration readily found in the unadorned wilderness. In the process, he has been the recipient of numerous awards, including category winners in the Nature's Best Yellowstone Forever Competition, Nature Photographer of the Year, and the Biophoto Competition where he was also third place overall winner.
